The Test Of The Thunders

Out of the day that shone,
Inside the night that frightened,
From the north to the south,
And from the east to the west.
Thank whatever ‘You' gave.

For the impregnable interior,
Despite the flimsy exterior.
In the ambush of booting events,
Let's not grimace nor bawl aloud.

Beneath the impregnations of chance,
Let the head be gory, but unbowed.
Beyond this consign of fury and snuffle,
Looms large the revulsion of the gloom,
And yet the peril of the times,
That smashes along the coast and beyond,
Finds, and will find us, undaunted.

Will it matter how safe the doorway?
How stimulating the trials may roll?
The life will continue to survive,
The test of the thunders on the scroll.
