A Touch of Reality

Today frets with grief
Only frairy tales will be remembered,
Lasting as long as the suffering
Of rejection and external biases
That hurt so much while you are alive...

I can't deny the crossfire
or explain why they aim for your heart
As though to break it were success
And to start it were a test
To prove how far you can be pressed
Before the taking of your soul
Which may turn out to be
A blessing after all...

So I wake but it seems,
It may be too late for me after all...
Even with all the compromises,
The crying and the refusing
To realize that it can be given
But not to me, not for long,
I must wait another eternity
Perhaps, it is the one
To where I belong...

Even with all the respect
That follows me approvingly
As I accept defeat ungraciously
For the first effort,
I follow thee, I follow thee...
That which I made, I follow, like God
Until it comes back to me...

For this heart I know is mine,
Even what a world can deny
Or trade or sell as indulgence,
I don't care, for what is despair
If not the loss for what should be?

As if I could ever leave an ideal aside,
Once discovered, it tells no lie
But wills to exist, to be believed
And I am sorry for the uncertainty,
But for this I would have died-gladly...
Faster from imprisonment,
And leaving more behind
In a few years than what is worth
Holding on to without its former dignity...
