Something Is Wrong With The Poor Too
something is wrong with the poor too
snobbing the rich like they are like them.
too sensitive, they shy away when touched
by our attempts to characterize charity,
too sentimental they cry at the slightest
remark of hunger and thirst and they seem
hate water and food that we keep inside our
cabinets and glasses, we stoop a little to
accommodate their way of seeing things.
we look for cracks, we let in light too faint
too small for that camel to fit, too flimsy
an excuse, we relate, we cannot be one
like them, oh, arrogance, oh selfishness
oh pretensions, oh that usual blame, shit.
