At The Top Of The Mountain

at the top of the mountain
where all of you are heading

nights and days trekking
rain or shine on half breaths coping

as i go down taking the usual trail
i am sad

seeing excited faces imagining
the beauty of the top

the feeling of that grip of power
i have something to tell them

but i know belief is rare
the faith is stronger to find something bigger

than our small existences like motes
in our eyes

up there
there is nothing, there is nothing

but the wind and the fog.
