2: To the Stars

In the coruscating darkness
That houses this place of void
I found my vision blind
But not from the rapine of light
That my waxed fingers possessed
But from the garish radiance
Of the distant shivering stars
And the shrilling zithers they tinkered
As they set the seas in my palms
Burning aglow to descry
The iridescence hiding in the gutters
Of the labyrinth that leisurely crawled
On every bickering of my spine

A star fell leaving a trail
A banister to ballast my frailty
As I clamber the insurmountable,
As I unclip my betrothed wings,
As I slickly slew the keys
To the punctures in the ribs
And welcome you to my anteroom
As I breathe in trust, inject hope,
Gnaw on faith and aggrandize innuendos
From the interpolation of the life
You had given me
I had believed the soldering
Graze of your quasar caress

When you drive me along these forking roads
I was infinity personified
And for a spiel of the moment
I thought I was,
I felt I was,
Amongst the stars.
