Seeing Something For The First Time

I am so grateful,
That your perceptions of who I am...
Has nothing to do with me at all.
And who it is I know myself to be.
However...
Do not let my mentioning this,
Stop you at all from your beliefs.

You have done more for my popularity,
Or the lack of it...
Than anyone else I could hire,
To keep what I do to make ME interested.

I am serious.
Why are you looking at me like that?
As if you are seeing something for the first time.
Stop it!
I am not going to pay you a cent.
I just wanted you to know how I felt about it.
Will you cut that out!

If you are going to talk about me,
At least we should meet.
Don't you think?
I do.
