In The Hopes To Run 'Into' Someone Or Something Of Value
I am not a collector of people.
I value true friendships and what from them I get.
I am not one to trivialize importance.
I treasure my life with a depth of seriousness.
Too many become disappointed,
By what is done to them...
At the whim of another.
Whether family member or friend.
Too many get upset quick,
When deceit enters their relationships.
And sit they do feeling bitterness and pain.
Knowing an investment made has returned no gain.
And feeling robbed they sob tears,
With a hope others understand...
What it is they fear.
Expecting more from what has not been made clear.
I am not a collector of people.
I value true friendships and what from them I get.
I am not one to trivialize importance.
I treasure my life with a depth of seriousness.
And some,
Well...
Seem on the run 'from' themselves.
In the hopes to run 'into' something or someone of value.
