Beating The Odds
Beating the odds,
Is a difficult thing to do.
Especially if those odds,
Have been beating on you...
For many years.
And 'suddenly' one awakens,
To a breakthrough that appears.
With a path clearing as if to favor.
Who with eyes open wide and clear,
Would not view this as an opportunity.
