After all memories

What a beautiful phrase!
For the sad memory to erase
Where it attempts to chase
In calm water of sea on surface

Read not in between lines
Everything can turn fine
It is only matter of time
We may praise it later sometimes

Suddenly waters rise to dangerous level
Come back with force and doesn't augur well
Everything to feel bad and miss the past
Memories rush in to unsettle me very fast

I have nothing to fear at this stage
Yet I feel bitter with coming up of an age
Think about days by gone and miss at a time
When I need them badly sometimes

Memories are after all memories
They may elate or cause worries
Sometimes it may make heavy load to carry
But it must be shaded soon to feel merry

I hold still them best
As they were part and stood the test
What would have I been in those days?
If it had not shown me the ways

Even if I was to be blamed
The credit too stands not to be claimed
I go by wisdom prevailed at that time
Today I look back and smile freely sometimes
