Thinking of your youth,
when innocence was truth.

Something happened,
somewhere along the way.
I didn't know,
how love could fade away.

Love running red,
innocence has fled.
Lovers first kiss,
a feeling that I miss.

Where's that feeling,
that all young lovers know.
Down by life's river,
where all my memories flow.

Love running red,
lost inside my head.
What happened to my heart?
It lost it's leading part.

Changing the rules,
while I played the game.
Laughed at your tears,
while you took the blame.

Love running red.
Stained your white dress.
Cut you and you bled.
I know it, I confess.

Love, can you hear me?
Echoes from the sky.
A whisper in the silence,
the wind of lost love's cry.
