By the Sea-side
Happy the time
Or sad?
When it must come
To leave
A less than one
Between
A shore and a whirl
Then step and speed
The throw
And heat
Iced sand to boil
And melt to oil
To blood
To everything
Each nerve
Yet do I hate
Or love
The toil
The memory of all of it
When I miles walk
Between
The ebb and tide
Then back
To rest
In a shell
In a nest
On a shore
Of a vast whirlpool
Yet again
And again
Wait for
Long for
A next.
(this I represents women's hearts and I in other poems represent a human psyche in a pilgrimage from fear to peace from agony to freedom - just to clarify.....)
