I see a flickering light
Is that you?
In your hollow radiance
My heart at a junction
Where the light is too far to see
To understand
For certainty
Down that crossroad we used to walk on
That you are the one that's carrying the torch
For me
For our future together
The skeptic in me lives
I no longer see your halo
Nor am I sure whether the light
I see is your luminescence
Of your heart, your soul
As we live in a world inundated with fluorescence
Of people reflecting
Remote frequencies
Captured from other sources
Unoriginal
Monotonous
The metamorphosis of one, to the peer pressures of dawn
Where aurora brings forth a new day, a new self
As your yesterday fades
Your yesterday I know.......
