You were my dear [Drag mi-ai fost]
Once you were, you were my dear,
But today I've grown aware
That this world so large and old
Without you it isn't bare.
In the sky, the morning star
Glows and fills us with much fun,
But goes down and fades away
When at dawn appears the sun.
Its majestic fiery disk
Makes you feel a newly born
And erases from your mind
The star twinkling in the morn.
Morning star you were to me,
Which at dawn my eyes did meet,
Then you waned – so now I look
At the sun, which is so sweet...
