Then I Turn To You
I keep looking at dew drops
shining silver crystals in the
sun, the leaves edged with
silver explosions also, the
trees allowing the sun to
create lemon-bright leave-
forms through them; trying
to decide whether I would
like to be a crystal dew-dropp
or a sunbeam shining through
the trees – then I turn to you
and you kiss me, and I know –
I would rather be me, safe in
your arms with your tongue
in my mouth....
