The Night Walk
Swiftly yet softly he walks each night
Watching each step he takes
Each step thet takes him further from home
A home that is no longer safe
A home filled with terror and uncertainty
He's only nine
and he's looking for refuge
For a place safer than home
Aplace anyone but the rebels can reach,
for they have a mission,
to kill and to abduct
Each night he walks
Knowing he has to return home tomorrow
'Tomorrow will be different', he says
But alas by night time nothing has changed
and the night walk begins again
