Not the Same Without Granny
She always screams our names
as a roll call in a game.
If we don't get up at first call
she will come and knock the wall
.
She always cleans us at night
before we go to sleep tight.
She will tell us a scary story
to let us stay and sleep early.
She holds us when we are sad;
her hug is enough to be glad.
She doesn't mind if we got things wrong
but she's there to make us strong.
The best granny in the world,
she's more precious than gold.
No wonder we miss her most
just like her best butter toast.
And it's not the same now she's gone!
