Finding Ashley
There was a girl that I knew well,
And where she went I can not tell,
A bright face and humor great,
I loved her every trait,
Though I paid her no attention,
I’d buy her back at any pention,
I’ve looked for her everywhere,
That eight year old without a care,
Now I’m lonely and going astray,
I guess she felt hated and just ran away,
Someone said they saw her grin, from
Somewhere deep within,
Then I new,
What I had to do,
And through my tears and all of my fears,
I stood the storm of life,
Even through the pain and strife,
And when I looked at my reflection,
I saw that girl and her effection,
It was hard but now I see,
That blond haired blue eyed girl was me,
Spirit Broken but not gone,
I had another chance to make her strong,
Even if the journey is long,
We are friends until the end,
And she is not the same,
Now I’ve given her a name,
Still a girl shining like a pearl,
I love her,
And she loves me,
And together we make Ashley
