When the outside doesn't match the in.
Why do you feel the weight of the world,
though your shoulders are still straight?
Why do you feel cold inside,
though it shortens not your gait?
Why is your heart black and blue,
though from the outside the truth you hide?
Why do you wish it weren't so,
when by lies and deceit you abide?
Why do you wish they knew the truth,
when your feelings you put away?
Why do you still try and act strong,
when you don't think you can go another day?
Why do you fight this war,
when you're fighting all alone?
Why do you shut the door,
and pretend that your heart, has turned to stone?
