The Unabashed Poet
The Unabashed Poet
I stand before you to defy death
Remove the smirks
The ants and the bees
Off your face
Remove the grimaces
And chase the annoying smurfs.
I am neither a fool
Nor a tool
Of this sick society
Which is drowning in the sea
Of hypocrisy.
I want to defy death
I want to see the other side
Of the mountainside
And subsequently return to earth
To dictate countless stories
Like in the movies
Where the plots are perfect
And the special effects are incredibly surreal
I want to comeback to erect
Statues and to make a big deal
Out of this uneventful experience
I want to comeback to make sense
Out of everything:
Life and death; love and hate
I want to comeback to talk about nothing
About us, you, me and my fate.
Sometimes facial expressions
Are more understood than verbal descriptions.
I stand before you to challenge your intellect
Believe me my friends; no one is perfect.
