I May Be Lying In The Gutter
Hostility blocking my dreams
Tears, tears, I cried
My biggest fears it seems
Who I am deep inside.
On a night like this
My mind searches
The depths of reality
While darkness lurches.
Finishing a journey in my life
What’s ahead I do not know
Where uncertainty is rife
Forward, forward, I must go.
I may be lying in the gutter
But I’m looking up at the stars
Away with my pride I utter
Deep inside is full of scars.
