I did not truly know the depths of love (sonnet)
I did not truly know the depths of love
until I met you, did not really know
of something that is at times selfless
until the day you came into my life
with sunshine in your smile,
a kind of gentleness that is caring
and now with strange bliss in each kiss
it's as if suddenly I am waking,
I am arising in a different world
that is full of goodness, a very special place
where I find peace and the depths of tranquility
as constantly you are true, are sincere without a guise
and to your feelings there come no change
while the days in your company passes far too quickly.
