Sonnet: Speak To Me,0 Lord
Oh! speak to me,0 God like yester-years;
When speak, Thou didst to Abraham and sons;
Why ineffective stays my fervent prayers?
And mortal sins of men approaches tons?
The world I know around seems very bad;
A truthful soul is hard to find most times;
This sorry state of things makes me so sad,
And so, I lose myself in world of Rhymes.
But why am I destined to suffer here?
The reasons, I cannot discern as yet;
It is a world of turmoil and much fear;
Nothing can touch me surely, I will bet.
But am I wasting precious time of mine?
My Lord, Thou mak'st me more and more divine!
