Leave your world [Lasă-ţi lumea]
Leave behind your world of sorrow
Give yourself to me and glow,
If you were my love tomorrow
No one in the world would know.
Come with me, let's wander purely,
Feeling happy, feeling good,
Where at night awakens surely
The voice of the ancient wood.
Through the branches, stars are twinkling
And the narrow path is clear,
Even if our hearts were tinkling
No one in the world could hear.
And I see your hair is flying
And I'm feeling young and free,
If I hug you, don't start crying
No one in the world will see.
Hush! The horn is sounding clearly
We are listening on our knees,
While the moon is rising freely
From behind the tall beech trees.
The green forest is responding
The leaves tremble with much grace
And my spirit, soft, desponding,
Yearns after your pretty face.
You pretend to loath my passion
Now you want me, now you're shy,
Yet your eyes glow with compassion
My cute angel from the sky.
Watch the lake! The moon, delighted,
Glides above his wilderness,
By her light he is ignited
And he feels his loneliness.
The small ripples, gently rolling,
On his surface seem to creep,
But he hears the world's loud calling
And he cannot fall asleep.
He is filled with inspiration
Mirroring your lovely face,
You don't need his confirmation
That you're nice and full of grace.
The blue sky, always in action,
Covers all the hills and caves,
Showing us with satisfaction
Stars in heavens, stars in waves.
Lime-tree scent is very pleasant
The wind gently shakes a bough,
Only you and I are present
And we are so happy now!
The full moon in mist is shrouded
Yet she's shining from above
Seeing you, wholly surrounded
By my arms, sweet fair-haired love.
