It may be politically incorrect to say but there is not a black or brown person living in the USA who does not have "privilege." It is called, "empire privilege," the result of living in an empire nation that benefits from US Dollar hegemony, and the corollary benefits resulting from exploitation of de facto "colonies" serving the empire. What that means is that when that black or brown person shops at Walmart or Costco, he/she reaps the empire benefits of ultra cheap goods that most other nations can only dream about. There is not a black or brown person living in the USA who is not guilty of cultural appropriation. When the black or brown person benefits daily from the scientific inventions (e.g., telephone, electricity, automobile, airplane, etc.) of European descendants, he/she effectively "appropriates" from whites with complete indifference. The entire specious concept of "white privilege" was created by enemies of the USA melting pot, who seek to divide the nation into warring factions, effectively a tyranny of minorities aimed against the majority. It is far past time to end nonsensical intellections, such as "African-Americans," originating from the minds of frustrated, angry, professors in black studies programs. It is far past time for Americans to unite as one and cease thinking of themselves only in terms of ethnic background, gender, or any other category that divides us. If America can not restore its vaunted melting pot, then it is doomed.
