Tell Me That Hope Called
Tell Me That Hope Called
by Alex Lewis
Tell me that Hope called.
Let me know that He rang.
If He didn't, I'd be quite appalled.
I might cry like a swallow sang.
I need a glimpse of peace.
I need a glimpse of light.
Can't you see this is my caprice?
Hope called! (I hope I'm right)
I'm desperate for Hope!
I think I need Him now.
Don't tell me 'no! ' Don't tell me 'nope! '
Tell me 'yes! ' or I'll turn foul!
For if He didn't call,
I might loose this day.
Hope makes me short. Hope makes me tall.
Without hope, before defeat I'll lay
