Once in My Tender Years
Once in my tender years
I came to an April day
And wrote poetry by faith.
Nothing else held me close
As I held the pen
Writing from within
Simple things to embrace
I let my mind have its say
And pray that you find
Within some praise of an April day
Life is too crowed to be truly caught
But this poem makes its stay.
