No Lost Day
No day is lost if you have cared
To help someone along life's way.
Some food to stop the hunger pain
Or flowers to brighten an ill one's day. How about reading a story to a child?
Or an errand to post letter or buy lace?
How about a new mop, and you do the floors
And cause a smile on an elderly face? Maybe you remember another's birthday
So you mix, bake, and decorate a cake,
Call some friends and surprise a lady
Then all enjoy the happiness your thoughts did make. The weeding of a flower garden, old or new,
For blossoms to brighten many a heart
And bring blessings to all who see the view
You labors of love that sets life apart. A new baby received your crocheted beauties.
A graduate will long cherish the afghan, too.
So by your good deeds you show God's love,
Proving no day is lost in all that you do.
