My Friend Lord Ravenswood Rivermist
My friend Lord Ravenswood Rivermist,
Of Rivermist Estate,
Has unicorns in the courtyard,
And fairies at the gate.
Close at hand are butterflies,
To help him dye the wool,
The little lambs all frolicking,
In multicoloured pools.
He keeps a friendly giant,
In fancy stable,
The unicorns eat candycorn,
And flapjacks when they're able.
The leprecauhns will sit upon,
A gilded garden pew,
And play tunes on their tinwhistles,
Whilst the pixies gather dew.
Not only are there weeping willows,
And cherry blossom trees,
There's a plant that can grow dragonflies,
And musical humming bees.
The door knocker speaks in riddles,
It's really quite a gimmick,
And when you are allowed inside,
It will recite a limerick.
The tapestries are willing,
To stop and have a chat,
There's a duckling playing on the harp,
A trumpet playing cat.
Oh, did I forget to tell you,
About the soda fountain,
And maybe I forgot to speak,
About the patchwork mountains.
There are a lot of sights to see,
On Rivermist Estate,
I can't remember if I told you,
About the fairies at the gate.
