Mister Snowman
From dreary skies I make my descent,
Heaven above from which I am sent
Through the atmosphere I fall as rain,
Scorned by winter's solemn pain
It is there I begin my transformation,
I can hardly bear the anticipation
Upon the fields I arrive as snow,
Awaiting the children with hearts aglow
With tiny hands I'm sculpted and formed,
Upon that morning, a new life is born
From the crudity of objects, I'm boldly adorned,
I welcome the celebration upon that early morn
Soon the winter retreats, from its bitter cold wrath,
I'm nothing more to treasure than a watery path
Fret not, my saddened little friends,
Snow is only temporary, winter never ends...
