Head Buried, Not Me!
Head buried in daily life,
What’s happened to the human spirit?
Plain shirts, following suit, home by 6.
Dead to the world by 12,
Cinderella left the ball.
Metal through my lip, red in my hair,
Being me and not hiding the fact.
An unearthed passion for music,
A voice that will be heard!
I’m not playing that game.
Velvet rose may lay on my bed,
Under a sea of thorns,
That keep me awake.
Many sleepless nights ahead,
I won’t give up the fight!
