He Is Lovelorn!
They are divided;
He did not yield when chided.
With equity he sided
Where and when discrimination presided
He was amicable
He used to be amenable
But has become obstinate
Ever since he took love's bait
Now, he is torn to pieces
Clinging to what can only be faeces
When compared to the ritual
Which characterises love that is mutual
He is shattered
His hallucinations scattered
Their union was sundered
As discrimination thundered
He is pitiable
After being undetachable
From love that is untenable.
He however thinks she is lovable
He is lovelorn
His love he does mourn
In him love was born
But out his love has worn He is Yoruba; she isn't
He is in love; with him she isn't
He is a Witness; she isn't
He is lovelorn; for him she isn't
He is in love with her
She perhaps with another;
He wants together
What she wants asunder
With him I commiserate
As he thinks they are commensurate
O, what a pity!
He's hooked by her beauty
If only he can make her see
That his love is more real
Than their obstacles are surreal
Then love is what I foresee
For now he struggles
With his troubles.
I hope he doesn't fumble
So that, into love, they both tumble
An optimist that I am
I see them as Sir and Ma'am;
As Mr. and Mrs.-
Ending their wedding in kisses!
