Foolish Dreams
Little girls dream,
foolish dreams,
dreams that come,
from fairytales.
Motion pictures,
of Cinderella,
play upon their innocence.
Little girls dream,
of meeting,
their Prince Charming.
They dream of,
fairytale weddings,
and happily ever after.
Fairytale dreams,
of never ending happiness,
for some will never exist,
for life isn't a fairytale.
Fairytales don't tell,
of how you can love someone,
with all your heart,
and they don't love you back.
Fairytales don't tell,
of those who have,
committed suicide,
over lost love.
Fairytales don't tell,
how sometimes,
the ones who are supposed to love you,
take their fists and hit you.
Fairytales don't tell,
how sometimes,
the ones who are supposed to love you,
emotionally abuse you,
scarring your soul.
Life isn't a fairytale.
