Basement Dreams
There I lay between walls and woods vivid dreaming
unrestricted in the early hours.Cold was the floor
with some slivers of light, night drifting and think-
ing alone with my inner tower.Recollecting events
that led me to this unkind blade, teetering the edge
of more darker days.Restless and needing sleep
prisoner of mind and feeling-introspective rodent
cornered in a maze.Life can change in an instant
on a cooling breeze-altering peace body thrown into
a less balanced state.Hard times crash facing me up
with one more phase.Moments that challenges my
fight, resources, will as my teeth grate.Nightmares
the flipside of dreams turning within a cell of
reality, blood and nerves cause s chain reaction.
The work to be freed goes beyond the psychological
or the physical-soirit show your strength now!
