The Call Of Untainted Waters
She is like
a mountain spring
bubbling fresh clear
from unseen cool depths
of substrata earth
through fracture of rock.
I rejoice
in such beauty
on a hot
windless day.
And would
cool
my face
hands
in her
presence,
quench my
thirst,
rest a while.
But you are still
depths
of nature's lake.
There is beauty
about you
on these
your shimmering
waters
vibrant life within.
I would swim
in mysteries
of a cool lake.
