Save Our Souls
Do you think you need to
save our souls?
What makes you think
our souls need saving?
Do you feel you need to
save our souls?
To save your own... wretched neck?
What have you done so wrong
you feel you need to
save our souls so badly?
“Blessings are for the head
of the righteous one, but
as regards the mouth of the wicked
ones, it covers up violence.” Proverbs 10: 6.
“He that is walking in integrity
will walk in security, but
he that is making his ways crooked
will make himself known.” Proverbs 10: 9.
Some of us need
only to go to church;
for weddings christenings or funerals;
driven in our own hearse.
It was Simon Peter who said...
“For a certainty I perceive
that God is not partial,
but in every nation the man
that fears him and works righteousness
is acceptable to him [God].” Acts 10: 34-35.
“For the hearers of the law are not
the ones righteous before God, but
the doers of law will be declared righteous.
For whenever people of the nations
that do not have law
do by nature the things of the law,
these people, although not having law,
are a law to themselves.
They are the very ones
who demonstrate the matter of the law
to be written in their hearts,
while their conscience is bearing witness
with them and, between
their own thoughts, they are being
accursed or even excused.” Romans 2: 13-15.
What bounty payment price
do you expect
for your supposedly unselfishly
saving our souls?
How is it that you do not
yet know that “Hatred is what stirs
up contentions, but love
covers over even all transgressions.” Proverbs 10: 12.
“By loving-kindness and true-ness
error is atoned for,
and in the fear of Jehovah
one turns away from bad.” Proverbs 16: 6.
What then is the inclination
of your heart? And what
does your conscience bear
witness for you to do?
Do you listen to your heart
your conscience?
Do you live by God’s laws
in righteousness?
Or is sin your joy your stumbling toy?
“And do not become fearful of those
that kill the body but cannot kill the soul;
but rather be in fear of him that can destroy
both soul and body in Gehenna.” Matthew 10: 28.
“For what benefit will it be to a man
if he gains the whole world
but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man
give in exchange for his soul? ” Matthew 16: 26.
