My Lover Rain
My lover rain knocks droplets at the window
Visiting to quench my desert thirst
Streaming liquid tips where lines and furrows
Are tied in knots and boxed with worry burst
He grumbles with rolled bowling sounds
To come inside and scare me from my gloom
By strobing blue electric where he grounds
And crack the bulb out in my lonely room
Then leaks beneath doors threshold on his own
Filling all my cavities with life
Washing each sick sin I've ever sown
With lavender and mint and rinsing twice
Then quietly he leaves me with my fat hair
And humid long kissed skin that's dewy sweet
I hardly realized that he was there
So sad before I knew next time we'd meet
