Alone (2)
To be defeated by death was not for Him
He fought alone our souls to win.
They took Him down from that rugged cross of shame
He'd died alone to bear our blame.
Another mans tomb was given as a grave
alone laid He Who came to save.
But this dark sepulchre could not keep Him in
For He alone had conquered sin.
Triumphantly He burst through gates of Hell
For He alone was to prevail.
Now in heaven exalted upon the throne
all men bow before Him alone.
