Love Sonnet 69: That Moon Sulking In Dark Corners Of Space,
That moon sulking in dark corners of space,
Oblivious of hearts and dreams that wait,
It could have wandered to renew its face,
Only to be back, never to frustrate;
But times that it plays hide and seek with clouds,
Lovers are lost just what to think of this,
And with sudden shadows of doubt that shrouds,
They might depart without a token kiss;
My moon is much kinder and sensible,
And so is my sweet love that waits beneath,
With faith and hope never known to dwindle,
And whose virtues to sheer beauty bequeath;
……She could run out of sleep, and with it, dreams,
……Moonlit nights are such risks that joy redeems.
