Death Came To Visit
death came to visit me
on a warm autumn night
after a light gentle rain
from the misty mist
he came to see me
wearing a hood and mask
I, who was out all alone
death came from nowhere
he walked straight to me
said 'come on let's go inside'
so i held his hand
said 'come on let's go'
for my life there was no
begging
crying
sobbing
pleading
he decided I was no fun
so he turned around to run
oh he didn't leave
empty-handed
he took all of
my poems
clutched in his greedy
little hand
if I had a gun
I would have shot him
in the behind
