A little of me
A little of me I left in mother’s womb
A little I left in her heart
And now that’s gone with her in the tomb
I feel it’s no more my part!
A little of me I planted in dad
A little I left in his eyes
I wonder now if I ever had
What’s gone when he closed his eyes!
A little of me I left in first love
A little I left in her mind
Flew away with time that little dove
With what I’ll never again find!
A disintegrated me is what I’m now
With so many pieces lost on the way
But truly I know, I can avow
A little would survive and stay!
