The Collective: The Marionette in a Yellow Dress
She sat on the chiffonier
Behind the glazed walls
Her lifeless eyes rover
About the gamines' rise and fall
In a mimicry of maneuvers
She yearn for her to be hauled
Her regal and inert grace is
Reserved with her melancholic reveries
Thawing the quintessence of her bliss
Whilst in the playhouse's heraldries
And when the pang of jealousy kiss
The strings will tangle with her maladies
Oh! Marionette in a sun dress
Rest those stiff smile and unfurl
What lies behind the curled tresses
And synthetic rouges and smile of pearl
Surmount a leg from your duress
And sever the laces of your world
Zither a string, a marionette fall
Into a ring—winter, spring, summer and fall
