A Young Mans Pain
A young man in life
He sits so confused
She meant to be his wife
She chose not, So his heart lays bruised
He cries “why this pain?
Why me tonight? ”
His tears fall like rain
Everything felt so right
He gets up slowly
Not prepared at all
He goes toward the cliffs at the sea
And prepares for his fall
He leaves a note
Explaining this terrible act
His friends thought it was a joke
Because they made a pact
But so destroyed He threw it away
He couldn’t show his face
As his fall commenced he had to say
“I’ll miss y’all but I couldn’t keep pace”
Before he finished his jump
His body froze like ice
In his throat he had a lump
He hit the rocks and they cut like a knife
His pain went from lasting to fast
No one ever knew why
Now its all in the past
Only the girl is left to cry
