A Broken Heart
You wonder how things can have gotten so bad
How things were so great and now they couldn't get worse
Wishing you could fix them but knowing you never can
Living with the knowledge that your to blame
You can't shake it, you can't fake it
You wish you could make things right
Get back the star that made your life bright
Then you wake up and realize everything is dark
Feels like the one thing missing is your heart
Then you find it and there in the center is a hole
So big it can never be filled, so black you cant see through it
And you wish every day you could go back and redo it
To fix the mistakes, to take back the hurt
But with every breath you take, you know you'll take that pain to the dirt
No one can understand, that you had happiness in the palm of your hand
And then you blinked and it was gone and it can never be there again
So you hold onto the pain and feel like your always walking in the rain
