Friends
I can see her
dazzling
sunshine smile;
emanating from her eyes
drifting into sight;
a beautiful
beautiful sight.
Undeniably she was
a Force of Nature
and effortlessly-
she lived her life
fluidly-
lightly,
Innocently.
She is a Spirit
still bathed in a certain purity in this world.
No scabs or scars;
No hurts or harms,
she had not come
in this world fully
yet
managing
somehow to be who she
was
from birth.
I am not that innocent.
I have scabs and scars.
I have known
Cutting Disappointments,
and Grinding Injustice.
Why is she my friend?
