A Thousand Miles
A Thousand Miles
Date: September 19,2012
I thought we were at home
Under the roof we share
I totally missed the signals
I thought that you were there
I didn't see you whisper
Or turn your heart away
I was so busy, being busy
That I thought we were okay
I thought the bed we shared
Was home enough for you
I didn't see the struggle
That you were going through
You say I leave you lonely
Those words still break my heart
Because, I thought we were at home
Not a thousand miles apart
