Their Blooming Goes Unaffected
One choosing to retreat from the blossoming of life...
Smothers the development.
And ruins the bloom to gloom!
Often this decay is seen,
And ignored with an acceptance...
Of an expected withering needing to feed.
Like the choking done by the growth of weeds.
And yet this tolerance allowed,
Spreads this seed upon those who follow.
Believing this existence...
Is not an affliction that addicts.
As those decaying prey upon the many who pay...
For their illnesses gone untreated.
On streets,
Where some pass with wishes...
They could sweep and 'delete' these scenes away.
At the expense of indifference...
Shown by those with beliefs,
Their blooming goes unaffected.
And they make choices to leave.
While glancing in disgust!
And observing it as if...
They will remain untouched!
As some choose to cloak these disturbing views,
By shouldering the burden of it.
In subdued submission.
To lock themselves behind walls that box.
Grateful for the safe admission.
To breathe easy and free...
Nurturing themselves,
As if to protect in a flower pot!
Surrounded by a safety net.
And out of harms' way.
