From Small Paper Cups
As madness escalates,
Into a nonstop apparent disenchantment.
Sexual trysts of revered goverment officials,
Are focused upon.
Although historic and has been going on since time.
A fledging economy nosedives and tanks.
With a host of a society's ills...
Denied and joining the ranks.
An increase of those helpless,
Has transcended the threats from terrorists.
Accusations fly wildly as to who has lied,
Reveals nothing uncommon...
To those with eyes opened wide.
Cheating and stealing have become virtues,
Amongst those forced to sleep and eat on urban streets.
While those of self righteous priorities,
Discuss the values of making beds in shelters...
With the best thread counts to help one fall to sleep,
Snuggled between top graded sheets...
Remembered.
And the one thing that seems outrageous and absurd,
Is the disrespect given to honesty.
And those loyal to uphold it...
Have their voices silenced,
To prevent them from being heard.
It is difficult to pity with empathy,
Those refusing to eat their soup...
From small paper cups,
With the use of plastic spoons!
'I liked everything but the ending! '
What was wrong with it?
'I would have used more parsley.
The oregano has such an unsatisying after taste!
And there was not a hint of noodle in it.
Nor was it fresh! '
