The Lion in The Corner of My Room
There is a lion
in the corner of my room
He roars viciously
aggressively
But I am not scared
His presence
confusing
So with curiosity
I stare
As a boy
I am comfortable
with this midnight lion
with this teacher
who teaches:
'In life threatening danger,
to lose your life
should not be a
care.'
He roars a extraordinary truth
that I am extraordinary myself
Who else would accept his presence
in the corner of their room?
I am a man now
But I can still remember
that childhood friend
And I hope
when I sleep
I'll encounter
The Lion
in the corner of my room
once again
