Out of Clear Blue Eyes
As I waited at the traverse for the light to cross;
She stood across applying to her lips new gloss;
The sun shone dazzling in the morning's cold;
Her blondish hair sparkled like strands of gold;
Change of light, across the street I began to go;
Seconds ticked off light, as we passed so slow;
Should not have glanced at her mysterious eyes;
A stunning blue; that of cloudless summer skies;
Lost my stride; stumbled; sluggish walk of feet;
New song penetrated my soul; melody so sweet;
Mind gone astray; no commands; limited at best;
Soul rising from within; heart raced in my chest;
Beating so erratically: feeling as if it were to fail;
Charm over my heart; definitely under her spell;
What was I to do? Come what may and let life be;
The best thing of my life standing in front of me;
Something very unfamiliar to me had just begun;
From it I resolved not to hide nor from it to run;
Spinning around, new direction, after her I went;
Becoming best of friends with her was my intent.
