Who are you?
Who are you?
Where are you going?
Where have you been?
I often wonder as people pass me in the street,
fly above me in planes,
and out deep in space,
I steady my own pace,
And stop to stare at the stars,
Not only mine but ours,
Who are you?
Where are you going?
Where have you been?
As I lay down and stare straight up,
The dark doesn't frighten me,
But the cold bites,
The stars twinkle,
As my face begins to wrinkle,
I'm a million in thought years,
And newly born in light,
Who are you?
Where are you going?
Where have you been?
Where have you been all my life?
Plain in sight?
I forgot I was blind,
But blind only means I see with my mind,
The stupid must've intercepted the cosmic wavelengths,
Damn the pathetic,
Praise the poetic,
I thought I knew you in a glance
The odds against me I don't, but could, give me the chance.
